  5. A:  About the concept of ‚Äúthe big book,‚Äù I think 
  6. McLuhan might almost say that is a cultural 
  7. assumption of the print era. St. Thomas Aquinas, 
  8. did he write a big book? Well I suppose you can say 
  9. the Summa Theologica  is a big book. But basically 
  10. it wasn‚Äôt a book, it was just his lifetime of 
  11. questioning and arguing. It may seem like a rather 
  12. audacious example, but look at Christ. Christ was 
  13. an aphorist, and in fact McLuhan was very 
  14. interested in the fact that St. Thomas Aquinas
